Manchester Community Information Network (MCIN) commissioned this site for the community of Charlestown and Lower Kersal in Salford. It provides a place for the community to post their news, stories, images, videos, and audio.

The Social Media Centre in Salford assist members of the community to make videos or recordings and post them to the site along side blog posts, local job listings and a directory of local resources.

All the information on the site is tagged with categories and location information allowing visitors to quickly filter down to the information they want.

An interesting feature of the site is that it allows site managers to add content from external sources by supplying RSS feeds to existing content. The site then pulls in external video, images or other content and stores the information locally to be included alongside regular site content.
