You don't have to buy a PC with costly operating systems

It is interesting to see that the BBC are keeping abreast of developments in the provision of Open Source software to the general public.

The fact that "for the past year Dell has been selling systems pre-installed with Linux, the free, open source alternative" has up until now escaped me. But it is great news.

I wonder if Apple would consider supplying it's MacBook Pro less the price of the operating system!
